Welcome to Mehoopany, Pennsylvania, home to Procter & Gamble’s largest manufacturing site in the United States. The Mehoopany plant produces Bounty Paper Towels, Bounty Napkins, Charmin Toilet Paper, and diapers under the Pampers and Luvs brand names.

Located in the endless mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania’s Wyoming County, the nearby communities offer breathtaking views and ample activities for any season. Located just 8 miles and under 15 minutes away from the plant, the borough of Tunkhannock is the closest town to the Mehoopany Plant. The quaint town has a population of just under 2,000 people and is located directly along the banks of the Susquehanna River. The Tunkhannock area is popular for new hires and those with families alike looking to be within close proximity to the plant and who have an enjoyment for the picturesque views the river and endless mountains of Pennsylvania provide.

Located 25 miles away from the plant with a commute time of just over 30 minutes, the borough of Clarks Summit is just 10 minutes from the more populous Scranton, PA area. Clarks Summit is the most popular housing destination for new hires due to its closer proximity to nightlife, shopping, & dining options in the area. There are many housing options available in the Clarks Summit area, including apartments, townhouses, or single-family houses that new hires or transferees can take advantage of.

Located 25 miles away from the plant with a commute time of just over 30 minutes, the borough of Dallas is just 10 minutes from the more populous Wilkes-Barre, PA area. Popular with families locating to the Mehoopany Plant, the Dallas borough offers exceptional schools and numerous options for dining and entertainment. Located 18 miles away from the plant with a commute time of around 25 minutes, the borough of Factoryville is located halfway between the Mehoopany Plant and the city of Scranton, PA near the campus of Keystone College. Its location is popular for those looking to balance commute time to work and proximity to the larger city of Scranton. Affordable housing can be found in the Factoryville area, however, limited dining and grocery shopping is available due to its small size.

Located 16 miles away from the plant with a commute time of around 20 minutes, Lake Winola is popular for those looking to live on the water. The 185-acre lake provides yearlong entertainment options with swimming, kayaking, and boating in the warmer months and ice fishing in the winter. Lake Winola is also located just 15 minutes from Clarks Summit and 25 minutes away from Scranton to enjoy the amenities those larger towns offer. Lake Harvey and Lake Carey are other nearby options for those looking to live the lake lifestyle.
